February PopSugar Must Have Box
I recently posted a review of my January PopSugar Must Have box - my husband had purchased it in January and then saved the box until February to surprise me with a countdown kick-off to Valentine's Day. Since it was so well-received, he decided to surprise me with another box for February. :) Isn't he the sweetest?!
Sadly, I think this box failed to impress us as much as the first one had. With a ~$40.00 price tag, there really is an expectation of baseline quality and that generally doesn't leave a lot of room for drugstore brands. Plus, I think there's increased anticipation for a Valentine's-themed box. There were a few items that just didn't seem right for me, but overall, I was still pleased.
Gorjana Brooks Jewelry Roll, $45.00
I received this jewelry roll in the color 'Tulip', and it is a bright pink color. There are gold zippers inside against a tan background. I think it's the gold that kind of turns me off this one; I've never been a big fan of gold accents. That said, it could actually be handy because I'm always randomly sticking my jewelry places when it comes time to travel. We haven't done a lot of traveling lately, but I plan to give this roll a try next time we head out of town.
Nourish Organic Pure Hydrating Argan Face Serum, $23.99
This serum could be used day or night either under or in place of moisturizer. It has a nice fresh fragrance, and it does feel very hydrating if not a touch too oily.
K Hall Designs Peony Travel Candle, $11.00
This was a pretty floral-scented candle that wasn't too overpowering. I used it while I ran the dishwasher in the room next door - the detergent we have now has an unpleasant bleachy smell that fills the kitchen - and this worked well to mask the smell while I worked in the dining room.
ModelCo Lip Pops Duo Lip Gloss and Lipstick, $39.00
I really liked this lip duo set. You can wear either product separately or layer the gloss over the lipstick. The lipstick is a creamy, muted brown shade that applied really easily. On its own, the gloss didn't impart a lot of color, but it adds a nice shine.
Sugarwish Mini Red Cinnamon Hearts, $6.25
I've never been a big fan of cinnamon candies, but these came packaged in the cutest box. We also received a coupon code for 20% off a Petite Sugarwish.
NCLA Rodeo Drive Royalty Nail Polish, $16.00
The formula of this deep-burgundy shade was great. It applied really smoothly and dried relatively quickly.
Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash, $5.25
This body wash dispenses green and builds to a foamy white lather. It had a pleasant, kiwi/green apple scent. I loved that it was moisturizing since I am soooo dry right now.
