August 2014 Glossybox Review
Glossybox is a beauty subscription service that sends subscribers a monthly box with ~five deluxe-sized beauty products.  The box itself retails for $21 per month, but you can subscribe to a plan that bills you every three, six, or twelve months, which brings the monthly cost down to $20, $19.17, or $18.33, respectively.  They provide the best presentation I have seen in a monthly subscription service with high-quality brands bundled in a a sturdy box! The August Glossybox arrived looking just as classy as ever. This was their three-year anniversary box, and there was a short letter from the Founder and Global CEO explaining how he wanted to "share inspiration, passion and love for beauty products worldwide". Thus, the product card featured names of various cities across the world, including Tokyo! Of course, everything Japan (and China!) has caught my eye lately as I'm gearing up for my Asia vacation. :)

Kryolan for Glossybox Highlighter in Cashmere, Value: $18.95 [Full-size]
This highlighter is a lightweight cream that can be used to illuminate eyes, cheeks, etc.  It goes on smoothly for subtle highlighting.

SpaRitual Nail Lacquer in Magnify, $12.00 [Full-size]
This pink creme polish was a bit streaky, so I definitely needed 2-3 coats for an even finish. The formula was a bit thick, but it is a bright, fun color - perfect for these last days of summer.

Eyeko London Skinny Liquid Eyeliner, $8.00 [$16.00 for 0.07 oz; sample size: 0.035 oz]
I usually opt for pencil eyeliners since they tend to be more forgiving, but after a couple of uses, I found that this liquid eyeliner went on pretty smoothly.  It was fairly long-lasting and easy to apply.

Uberliss Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner, $3.98 and $4.32 [Shampoo, $23.90 and Conditioner $25.90 for 12 oz; sample size: 2 oz each]
I really appreciated that Glossybox included both a shampoo and conditioner (it's one of my pet peeves when a beauty box just sends one or the other without the complementary product). The shampoo is sulfate-free to gently cleanse the hair without stripping it of its natural moisture, and the conditioner is infused with Green Tea, Lemon Peel, and Keratin. Both products had a pleasant smell, but they weren't the best hair products I've tried.

Eslor Firming Collagen Day Cream, $17.00 [$85.00 for 1.7 oz; sample size: 0.34 oz]
This cream is formulated with the finest Hydrolyzed Marine Collagen to help restore firmness and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.  I found it a bit heavy for day use, plus it doesn't have SPF.  It had a pleasant smell and applied easily.
Eslor Firming Collagen Day Cream
Total Value: $64.25
