July 2017 Play! by Sephora Review
We're solidly one month into summer, and this month's selection is all about nurturing products fit for the season to allow for anytime, anywhere indulgence. I also posted an unboxing video on my YouTube channel:
IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara,, $? [$24.00 for 0.3 oz]
This was a fairly good mascara. It provided decent separation, length, and volume, but application wasn't completely clump-free.
boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash-Off Treatment, $11.40 [$38.00 for 2.8 oz; sample size: 0.84 oz]
This face treatment looks kind of cool with its black and white swirl pattern. It smells similar to other boscia products that I've tried - an herbal, earthy smell. It did have a slight, tingling sensation in certain areas.
Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-in Conditioning Spray, $3.00 [$20.00 for 5 oz; sample size: 0.75 oz]
This leave-in conditioning spray had a light, fresh fragrance. I didn't find it very nourishing at all.
bareMinerals Gem Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor, $8.31 [$18.00 for 0.13 oz; sample size: 0.06 oz]
This liquid lipstick smells like chocolate, and I rather like the color. It's almost like a 'your lips but better' shade. Unfortunately, as a liquid lipstick, I found that it dried out and wore down on my lips unflatteringly.
MILK MAKEUP Cooling Water, $2.00 [$24.00 for 1.2 oz; sample size: 0.1 oz]
I was excited to try MILK MAKEUP, which I haven't really used much in the past. This product glides on smoothly with a refreshing sensation, but it leaves skin feeling a bit tacky.
Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine, ? [$75.00 for 1 oz]
I originally tried this fragrance in the first ever Sephora box I received. It's great for summer - a nice crisp citrus!
Total Value: >$24.71
Details: Play! by Sephora is a beauty subscription service that features a curation of five deluxe samples plus a bonus fragrance in a collectible bag. The monthly cost is $10.00 + tax. Each box also includes a Play! Pass that you can use to receive 50 extra Beauty Insider points with any in-store purchase.
