Wednesday Weekend Wind-Up: Every Christmas Story Ever Told
Last Friday night found us out on the town again. We were going to grab a pre-theater dinner at Via Vite, but with no reservations, we were quoted a 30-45 minute wait.
Luckily, we were in the right part of town to explore back-up food options, and we ended up at Maplewood on a hunch that it would be relatively quick and thoroughly delicious. That hunch was pretty spot-on.
Then, we made our way over to the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company Otto M. Budig Theater to pick up our free passes to see Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some!). I have been on a roll with winning Yelp tickets!
Overall, it was a really cute production, and I loved many of the interwoven Christmas stories.
Our seats were in the third row, directly in front of the stage. Hard to get much better than that!
Francisco ended up having to work for a few hours Saturday morning, and then I met a former co-worker for lunch at Cooper's Hawk.
I wanted to pick up something for dessert afterwards, so we ended up swinging by Nothing Bundt Cakes. I've tried these for a work event, and they are so moist and delicious. Francisco got the Pecan Praline, and I had the Peppermint Chocolate Chip. Mine was WAY better.
I am still in disbelief that Christmas is less than a week away. We aren't really doing presents this year, but it's still hard to avoid the stress of the holidays.
