Driving from Nova Scotia to Bangor, Maine| Maritimes, Day 7

9/10/19 - Tuesday
The Residence Inn Halifax Dartmouth hotel ended up offering the best breakfast of the entire trip. There were fresh scrambled eggs, waffles with flavored syrups, coffee with its own set of flavored syrups...everything you want a hotel breakfast to be.
We ate till we were stuffed...then a little more for good measure...so, yeah, the normal portion size. 😉 Over our extended breakfast, we discussed our plans for the day as we would be beginning our drive back towards Boston. We decided to push on to Bangor, Maine, which would leave us a bit more of a leisurely drive back to Boston the next day.

We made a couple stops along the way, including at Stewiacke River Park, which I think was supposed to be a good spot for eagles.

We did not spot any eagles, but did see this sign. 😱
As we crossed from Nova Scotia back into New Brunswick, we also stopped at the Sackville Waterfowl Park

We really were just seeing some unremarkable ducks though, so we didn't linger long.

We had so enjoyed our first visit to Vegolution, that we swung by there again while passing through Saint John. We shared an order of the Seared Halloumi  and the Veggie Donair. I asked for a side of mayonnaise for my fries and was dismayed to see that we ended up being charged $2.00 for a small cup of garlic mayo at the end.

We had some time to walk around the area and snag a S'more cupcake and lemon raspberry bar for the road from Wild Flours Sweets & Treats.

We passed back into the States and reserved a room at the Holiday Inn in Bangor. The hotel was under renovation, but our room clearly hadn't been updated yet.
