October 2016 GLOSSYBOX Review
Decleor Aromessence Neroli Hydrating Oil Serum, $24.82 [$73.00 for 0.5 oz; sample size: 0.17 oz]
This serum-oil had a strong herbal fragrance that I didn't like. I used two drops on my face before applying moisturizer, but I just found it to be too heavy and oily for my skin. It doesn't help that it was hard to control the amount that poured out since it did not come with a dropper. I ended up finishing this small bottle as a moisturizer for my lower body - I found the fragrance much more tolerable that way!
OGX Beauty Fight Fallout Niacin3 & Caffeine Root Stimulator Spray, $8.00 [Full-size]
I usually shower at night and then apply this product. After towel-drying my hair, I sprayed onto my scalp one section at a time and massaged in for even distribution. This product has an almost minty fragrance, and it is formulated to encourage a healthy scalp and prevent fallout caused by breakage. I thought this product seemed a bit gimmicky and was doubtful it would actually be effective, but the online reviews look pretty favorable. It's something I'm willing to continue using to see if it improves my hair health.
Unani Il-luminate Milk Cleanser, $18.00 [Full-size]
This milky cleanser has a pleasant, almost fruity fragrance. It definitely doesn't have much make-up budging power, but it works fine as an AM cleanser or a post-make-up removal cleanser. We've received Unani products before, and this appears to be a Spanish family business.
Emite Make Up Lip & Cheek Tint, $19.00 [Full-size]
There had been a sneak peek of this product in last month's GLOSSYBOX information, and I wasn't terribly excited to receive this [but I'd already locked in my $15 for 3 months price so I wasn't going to turn it down]. That said, I ended up kind of liking this. I am a little intimidated to use this on my cheeks much, but I have used to apply a gentle red tint to my lips. The color is buildable depending on how deep you'd like to go. It has a slightly sticky finish, but this goes away the longer it has to dry down. It's nice to add a more subtle pop of color without going too bold.
Masque Bar By Look Beauty Face Sheet Mask, $3.33 [$10.00 for 3 masks]
I received the Cucumber mask, which definitely boasted a fresh cucumber fragrance. Overall, this mask adhered nicely to my face, and the excess serum absorbed into my skin fairly easily without being overly sticky.
Total Value: $73.15
