September 2016 Play! by Sephora Review

September 2016: The Unbasic Basics. This month's theme was about taking your beauty basics to the next level.

Sephora Collection Rouge Shine Lipstick in Love Spell, $3.37 [$12.50 for 0.13 oz; sample size: 0.035 oz]
This creamy pink shade of lipstick applies easily and has a very slight fruity fragrance. P.S. so happy to not receive a crazy bold red shade for once. It gives a nice touch of light pink color without being overbearing.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel, $6.68 [$22.00 for 0.28 oz; sample size: 0.085 oz]
I brushed this clear brow gel on, and it acted as a good base for the Medium Brown Brow Powder Duo that I applied over it.  Overall, it provides a flexible hold and it dries to a matte finish.

Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation, $5.59 [$38.00 for 1.7 oz; sample size: 0.25 oz]
This lightweight moisturizer has virtually no fragrance. It can be used in the mornings or evenings, but it doesn't have SPF, so I've used exclusively in the evenings.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper, $7.00 [$20.00 for 0.02 oz; sample size: 0.007 oz]
This is a very long-lasting eyeliner. I first swatched it on my arm, and it lasted overnight without smudging.  I've been using it for about a week or so, and it seems like the sample is starting to dry up a little as application isn't terribly smooth. I felt like it was a little difficult to control the line I was drawing, but that should probably be chalked up to user error.

Atelier Cologne Sud Magnolia, $? [$125.00 for 3.3 oz]
This was a fairly strong floral fragrance. It's pretty long-lasting, detectable several hours following initial application.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Night Cap Overnight Perfector, $7.00 [$28.00 for 4 oz; sample size: 1 oz]
This is a heavily perfumed hair cream. It applies like a liquidy conditioner. I've used it about three times, and I've noticed that my hair does seem softer a day or two after application.
