One Direction Limited Edition Makeup Collection

OneDirection is releasing a Limited Edition Make-Up Collection beginning August 11th at Macy's - the collection will hit other retailers beginning August 25th.  There are three bundled collections, including Up All Night with vibrant colors for a flirty look, Take Me Home with neutral colors to achieve the girl-next-door look, and Midnight Mystery with Hollywood bombshell shades. I received the Take Me Home collection for review.

There are 7 products in total, including an eye/body pencil, eyeshadow palette, lip gloss, lip stick, mascara, stencils, and nail polish.

Eyeshadow palette: This neutral palette worked well to create eye looks that were appropriate for work and everyday wear, but also provided the flexibility to build to a more dramatic look. Application was easy. It included the following shades: 1) Back for You - a very light tan color; 2) Change My Mind - orange-brown color with shimmer; 5) Take Me Home - glossy gold color; and 4 + 5) Little Things + C'mon C'mon - gray brown and deep brown colors.
Liqui;ights Glow Gloss - Kiss You: This lip gloss had a slightly sweet smell, and it leaves your lips with a tangerine tint and a touch of sparkle. It has a slightly gritty texture due to the glitter, and it definitely glows under UV light!
Last First Kiss: This lip stick was probably my fave item in the box (even though it arrived slightly damaged!). It applied so smoothly, gliding on as easily as a lip balm. There was no fragrance, and the color was very wearable, working to deepen your natural lip color and leaving behind a subtle stain.
Eye and Body Crayon - I Wish: The glossy text on the pencil itself is a little hard to make out, but this pencil glides on very smoothly. I tried it with the included stencil set, and I would caution you to be very careful on where you decide to use the pencil as I found that it smeared really easily.
Little Black Dress Mascara: This mascara applied really smoothly with zero clumps, and a few coats added some extra volume to my lashes.
Live While You're Young: This nail polish primarily featured large gold glitter pieces with tons of other colored glitters tossed into the mix in a clear base. I layered this over Poseidon by Eat.Sleep.Polish, applying on the full nail of my ring finger (and thumb) and the tips of the rest of my fingers. Super easy formula, and a really fun nail polish in general.
While the One Direction collection is most certainly geared toward a younger clientele, the products offered are completely wearable for all ages. My favorite item was the Last First Kiss lipstick, which worked perfectly to enhance my natural lip color.  Check out the Makeup By One Direction Facebook page for additional information.
