March 2016 Birchbox Review

March is marked by both International Women's Day and Women's History Month, and this month's Birchbox is about reminding us that beauty is just another tool in our take-on-the-world kit, featuring products to amplify our features.

Beautiful Nutrition Healthy Hair Diet Shampoo and Conditioner, ? [$16.00 for 13.9 oz each]
This lemon curd-colored shampoo smelled like citrus, and the conditioner had a more neutral fragrance to it. They were a pretty decent size, but I didn't find this to be the most nourishing duo for my hair. Also, the packaging was a very hard plastic, which made it hard to squeeze.

Catherine Malandrino Style de Paris, $2.82 [$80.00 for 1.7 oz; sample size: 0.06 oz]
This perfume had a sweet/spicy fragrance that I mostly enjoyed.  It was relatively long-lasting, definitely still detectable by lunchtime.

REN Flash Rinse 1-Minute Facial, $9.60 [$48.00 for 2.5 oz; sample size: 0.5 oz]
This facial treatment is light green in color with an almost sour, botanical smell. It's slightly grainy in texture, liquefying once rubbed into skin and water added.

treStiQue Color & Smudge Shadow Crayon in Aspen Pine, $8.67 [$26.00 for 0.06 oz; sample size: 0.02 oz]
This color comes across as kind of a deep gray-green with a slight gold shimmer. The crayon is easy to apply, but I found it a bit difficult to blend. The sample size doesn't appear to come with the the smudger end like the full-size does, which probably would have come in handy.
