2015 GLOSSYBOX Holiday Limited Edition Box Review
I skipped the November GLOSSYBOX, but it ended up kind of working out because I purchased the Holiday Limited Edition Box in its place. I believe this box costs $40.00 full price, but I had received a discount coupon code in a previous month's box, so I ended up purchasing it for $30.00. The box is currently sold out; I don't think their limited edition boxes are available for purchase for very long. I can't remember exactly when this box came in the mail, but it was before Thanksgiving. I absolutely love the design. I've kind of done an about-face when it comes to gold in general - I used to basically hate it, but in the right context and shade, I can dig gold. I also love polka dots, so this whole box is gorgeous.
Ardency Inn Modster Smooth Ride Supercharged Eyeliner in Black, $13.30 [$19.00 for .04 oz; sample size: .028 oz]
This eyeliner is a deep black shade, and it applies really smoothly and lasts all day.
Pure Cosmetics GlossyGloss in Pouty Pink, $20.00
This was a pinkish, flattering gloss, almost kind of a "neutral" pink. It's not overly sticky, and overall, I really liked it. The LED light in the lid was kind of unnecessary and kind of made it harder to apply, but it might come in handy for darker situations.
Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in Champagne Socialite, $15.00
This nail polish applied really smoothly, and I liked the color - so glad it wasn't red or green! It's a rose gold shade, and in the end result, it appears to be like a gold foil. In the picture below, I am wearing this on my index and pinky finger - and I really wish I had just left it on all fingers instead of using a different shade in the middle.
L'Atelier Maquillage Mascara Keracare, $30.00
I wasn't a huge fan of this mascara. It clumped pretty easily unless I first blotted it with a tissue. It's a matte black that provides okay volume and separation.
Aerin Kaleidolight Palette, $70.00
Yeah, I don't know why this palette is so hella expensive. It does come in a nice gold case - and with a handy pink pouch, so you can carry it in your purse without it getting scratched or coming open. You swirl the colors together on the end of your brush, and the result is a lighter than expected dusting of color.
Nuxe Dry Oil Huile Prodigieuse, $45.00
This oil smells divine, and the fragrance lingers a long time on hair. I was a little sensitive to the smell if I was coming down with a migraine though. A little can go a long way to avoid ending up with greasy locks.
