Donut Trail, Part III

We got a late start on Saturday, so we only made it to one donut shop on the trail.

After a stop at Starbucks for their new Smoked Butterscotch Latte, we headed over to the Hamilton Cleves Road location of Ross Bakery [strip mall]. We made it there at 11:30, a half-hour before closing so pickings were very slim with less than a dozen remaining to choose from.

Francisco chose the donut with fluorescent yellow frosting - it appeared to be lemon cake with lemon icing, but it was a rather subtle lemon flavor. I chose the blueberry cake with whipped blueberry frosting.
Both donuts were fine, but we were definitely not blown away. The donuts were a buck each, and they went great with the latte!
