February 2016 Birchbox Review
February's Birchbox was centered around helping you to create "your own not-quite-everyday looks, from easy hairstyles to versatile makeup techniques". I think I was looking for something a little more exciting for the "Valentine's" box, but all in all, I was happy.
COOLA Face SPF 30 Unscented Matte Tint, $3.60 [$36.00 for 1.7 oz; sample size: 0.17 oz]
This face product had a light, organic scent and it smoothed on easily. As a BB cream, the coverage was very light.
Living proof. Restore Mask Treatment, $5.25 [$42 for 8 oz; sample size: 1 oz]
This was a thick conditioner with a somewhat rich fragrance. This size tub will last for several uses, so it is a good value, and my hair could definitely use the treatment.
Not Soap, Radio Body Wash - Liquid Freud, $1.29 [$16.00 for 13.61 oz; sample size: 1.1 oz]
This body wash had a vaguely coconut fragrance, but it's not very strong. It's a creamy liquid that does a good job of cleansing but not stripping your skin of moisture.
POP Beauty Matte Velvet Lipstix - Cozy Crimson, $8.00 [$24.00 for trio]
If I could just not receive lipstick in a box ever again, I think I would jump at that option. Francisco said this particular shade made me look extra pale...he said it was kind of growing on him after a while, but then he changed his mind. On the lips, it's a very dark red and it goes on a bit dry. It smells nice with an almost coconut fragrance to it.
True Moringa Lavender Facial Oil, ? [$26.00 for full-size]
In my opinion, this oil smells awful, but that is because I've never been a big fan of lavender, and this is like raw, fresh lavender oil. It says just to use a drop of oil, but that doesn't seem like enough product to make a difference.
Total Value: >$18.14
