March 2015 Glossybox Review
Let's take a look at the contents of this loosely spring-themed Glossybox! If you are interested in signing up, please sign up using this link.
So Susan Cosmetics Concealer Quad, Sample Value: $30.95 [Full-size]
This concealer didn't apply well with a brush - it worked out easier to apply directly with your fingers (but then I always worry about product contamination). Overall, I didn't really like it. It only provided light - medium coverage at best, and the formula was hard to work with.
Tree Hut Shea Body Butter in Coconut Lime, $2.14 [$7.49 for 7 oz; Sample size: 2 oz]
This tropical fragrance lasts throughout the day. As a body butter, it is thicker than a normal lotion, so allow extra time for absorption.
Bellapierre Cosmetics Cheek&Lip Stain in Pink, $19.99 [Full-size]
I found this product to be too pink and cakey as a lip stain, so it worked better as a blush for me. It blended in fairly well, but I found it more time-consuming to apply than powder blush.
Rich Hair Care Pure Luxury Intense Moisture Shampoo, $3.99 [Full-size]
This shampoo had a clean smell that reminded me of shaving cream. It worked well enough.
Orogold Cosmetics 24K Multi-Vitamin Day Moisturizer, ? [$178 for 1.7 oz]
This may have possibly been the best moisturizer I have ever used. It applies so easily and smoothly and feels amazing on your face, drying to a silky finish. It has a perfumey fragrance that is a touch strong if you're sensitive to smells. I primarily used it in the evenings since there is no SPF, although it is advertised as a day moisturizer.
Total Value: >$57.07
If you are interested in signing up for Glossybox, please sign up using this link. While the value for this month came in at over $50, the two high-value items (concealer and lip&cheek stain) were my two least fave products. Looking over some of the options that other subscribers received on the Glossybox site, I felt like many of them were far more appealing than my selection.
Details: Glossybox is a beauty subscription service that sends subscribers a monthly box with ~five deluxe-sized beauty products. The box itself retails for $21 per month, but you can subscribe to a plan that bills you every three, six, or twelve months, which brings the monthly cost down to $20, $19.17, or $18.33, respectively. They provide the best presentation I have seen in a monthly subscription service with high-quality brands bundled in a a sturdy box!
